Glamor Girl

Zooey has been wrapping all kinds of things around her neck like a scarf lately, so I finally wrapped her great-grandma's scarf (that I need to return!) around her neck.  

She didn't want to take it off.

Santa Barbara

We went up to Santa Barbara a couple of weeks ago to visit Jennie's

old piano teacher at the Music Academy of the West.

Of course we had to stop by the beach.  It was pretty windy and I didn't want Zooey to get wet so purposely didn't change her into a swimsuit.

She had other ideas.

What's that you've got there?

I recently bought Zooey little animal finger puppets to play with.  

Instead of putting them on her fingers, she decided to stuff them down her shirt:

I don't know where she learned to do that, but here's the finished product:

Zooey makes a new friend

We've noticed that Zooey likes to hang out with the 'older' crowd (ie, older than 2yrs) 

more than kids her own age.  

While she gets territorial around the kids her age 

at Gymboree and likes to play by herself,  when she meets older kids at the playground, 

she starts following them around like a puppy and 

tries to imitate everything they do.  

Today, she met a four year old girl named "Iz" at the pool and, according to Joann, fell in love with her.

I don't THINK her feet are bigger than average.....

mom: "Your big smile!"

Zooey: "I like this basket, very comfortable"

We were out by the pool over the weekend when Zooey decided she wanted to squeeze into

the gap in the lounge chair.

Of course she discovered it was much easier to slide in than to get out.

Mean mommy decided to prolong her misery by taking a picture before going to her rescue.

(actually, it was pretty tight...not so easy to pull her back out...)
