Grandpa's birthday!

Last week we visited NorCal for Chuck's father's birthday

 Zooey meets cousin Elliot (finally)!

 We had a hwedupbap feast!

Zooey has been trying to stand more and more these days - 

from the laying-down position, she will pull up to standing, 

with my help of course!

sleep-training

Zooey, happy and wide-awake, way past her bedtime (and mine).

We started sleep-training Zooey this week and it is sooooo hard!!!! 

I hope we survive... :(

The first night she cried for 1.5 hrs; second, third, and fourth nights for 1 hour.  Tonight, 35 minutes....hopefully, this downward trend will continue and we'll have a happy and well-rested baby on our hands soon!

Daddy, who has been known to wear his own shirts inside-out

on occasion, dressed Zooey for bed and apparently had no problems

doing the snaps in reverse... :D

Jennie's friends from high school met up with their families in Carmel, CA, for a few days...the last time we all met was at our wedding (you may recognize some of the kids as our ringboy and flower girls)

Kathryn, Karen's youngest daughter (in the foreground), 

'borrowed' my iphone and took several snapshots of herself 

with various kids in the background....so cute!

At Mission Ranch Inn for brunch (owned by Clint Eastwood, 

there are real sheep on the property!)

We also visited the Monterey Aquarium, an amazing place!

Their jellyfish exhibits were especially impressive!

We had such a wonderful time - thanks to Julie M. and family for hosting us, and we hope to meet again in another three years!

Okay, we've recovered from Olympics' addiction/hangover. Time to catch up on posts...

We got a chance to visit Chuck's family in August.

Zooey finally got a chance to meet cousin Lucie...

 ...and also catch up with Sophie and Ellen
