Zooey makes a new friend

We've noticed that Zooey likes to hang out with the 'older' crowd (ie, older than 2yrs) 

more than kids her own age.  

While she gets territorial around the kids her age 

at Gymboree and likes to play by herself,  when she meets older kids at the playground, 

she starts following them around like a puppy and 

tries to imitate everything they do.  

Today, she met a four year old girl named "Iz" at the pool and, according to Joann, fell in love with her.

I don't THINK her feet are bigger than average.....

mom: "Zooey, smile!"

mom: "Your big smile!"

Zooey: "I like this basket, very comfortable"

We were out by the pool over the weekend when Zooey decided she wanted to squeeze into

the gap in the lounge chair.

Of course she discovered it was much easier to slide in than to get out.

Mean mommy decided to prolong her misery by taking a picture before going to her rescue.

(actually, it was pretty tight...not so easy to pull her back out...)

Zooey has been fascinated by Ellen emo's old violin, which is, of course,

too big for her.  So, she improvises:

it's a double bass!

At the end of Zooey's swimming lessons (before Three Rivers), the instructor

had the parents take their child underwater for a photo-op.
