Zooey's been eating solids for about a week, 

some rice cereal as well as some fruit.

She seems to enjoy it all, so far, but clearly has inherited 

her mother's carnivorous tendencies.....

Z: "Forget the cereal, feed me the sausages!!"

We spent several days in Carmel, CA, with Jennie's closest 

friends from high school (more pics to come).  

Julie M's youngest son Jasper (Her oldest, Kai, 

was one of the ring bearers at our wedding) was super 

sweet to Zooey and would pat the couch when he wanted 

her to sit there next to him.  

This time, he had an ulterior motive~!!!

Ellen and Julie participated in iPalpiti again this summer, so

Remember her? The picture was taken when Zooey was ONE day old.

The sweater is the same--it seemed so BIG just a short spell ago! She's growing so fast...

Portlandia!!

 The Jung Trio was asked to play for a wedding in Portland, OR. So Zooey got to go on her first plane flight!!

We had a chance to explore downtown Portland on foot:

There were lines in front of the VooDoo doughnuts 24/7 just around the corner from the hotel!!--we were so tempted to try them, but we never got the chance--lines were always too long!! 

 We wandered around Saturday Market and bought a baby carrier for Chuck to use with Zooey

 On Monday, we checked out the Columbia River Gorge region--gorgeous!! we got this shot at Vista House.

 We visited the Multnomah Falls. Very nice.

  Later we checked out Washington Park in Portland. The roses in The Rose Garden were in full bloom!!

We also visited the Japanese Garden within Washington Park.
