It's not easy being green...

Scenes from a day in Zooey's life....

Like much of the world, Zooey has come to appreciate the acoustics of the household bathroom -
Zooey has discovered the joys of singing in the shower:

She also likes to make important phone calls:

[Jennie: I bet daddy wasn't expecting this kind of attitude for at
least another 10 years...]

Zooey's new friend Pororo!

Costco

I'm a BIG girl!

When we went shopping for a bike seat, Zooey
spotted this lovely pink and white number and immediately wanted to get on
(again, girly-girl!! AND the bike even matches her outfit!)

Notice her feet don't even reach the pedals.
I had to push her around the bike display over and
over and over and over and......you get the picture.  And oh, the screaming
when we eventually pried her off of the bike. Quelle horreur!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day flower!

Mother's Day Kiss!

 open-mouth and juicy!

 "OK, that's enough!!"

Zooey's first bike ride!!

Shortly before we left for Three Rivers, we bought a bike
seat for Zooey.  When we tried to put the helmut on in the store, she SCREAMED and refused, but magically, when in the bike seat,
no complaints!  She LOVES riding the bike and asks for "MORE!"

And so it begins....

Much to Chuck's dismay, Zooey is displaying signs of being a girly-girl.
She's already shown her love for bags (and the more $$, the better -
seriously, she will always choose the more $$ one!! uh oh!)

While she'll walk around the
house in Chuck's shoes, she shows a clear preference
for my heels, the shinier, the better.

One night, while avoiding bedtime, she asked to put
on this new pair of yellow mary janes, sent by Uncle Pete
all the way from Korea.

They're clearly too big for her, but she LOVED them,
walked/tripped around admiring her feet, and refused to
take them off to go to sleep

She went to sleep with a different pair of shoes on for the next three nights!

long time no see.....oops!

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posts - we were away for two weeks
in Three Rivers again and after coming back,
it's been hard to catch up, especially when the little girl
 [yes, girl, not baby anymore :( :( :( ]
refuses to stay still for some good shots.

Zooey has grown a LOT over the last month+, it's really amazing
and so much fun to see how much her brain is processing these days.
You can literally see the wheels turning in her head as she
tries to absorb everything around her.  Of course this means
she is much more vocal about expressing her emotions,
both the good and the bad, and we've had (just a few) screaming
tantrums already....that's when we wonder what the
terrible twos will bring...

Anyways, we will update over the next few days.  Here are just a few pictures
showing Zooey's newfound discovery of stickers...

being silly

Zooey has more love for her stuffed dogs
than this doll, Cailin Yang (seriously, that's her name
on Amazon!).  She usually picks up Cailin by her head and
tosses her around.

The other day, JoAnn asked Zooey to find Cailin and put her in her
stroller.  Zooey went and grabbed Cailin by her hair, shoved her into the
stroller, then proceeded to turn the stroller upside down.  Zooey then
lovingly placed two of her dogs in the stroller.

We need to get her a real dog.
Also, I fear for any future siblings.

"who wants to sleep? not me!!!!"
(actually, mommy does....)
